We are looking for an International Business Development Consultant to support our tenders department and international project development (IPD) team. This role is ideal for an ambitious and detail-oriented professional with a passion for environmental sustainability and business development.
As a key team member, you will work on proposals, assist with tenders, scout new opportunities, and help develop project-related documentation. You will collaborate closely with experts in the field, gaining hands-on experience in international business development within the environmental sector. Your tasks
1. Proposal and Tender Development:
- Support the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals for waste management and environmental consulting projects.
- Assist in structuring and drafting technical and financial proposals in response to international tenders and funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information, ensuring proposals align with client requirements and company standards.
- Ensure all proposals comply with relevant guidelines and are submitted within deadlines.
2. Market and Opportunity Scouting:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients, funding opportunities, and tenders in the waste management and sustainability sectors.
- Monitor procurement portals and funding platforms (e.g., EU tenders, UN platforms, GIZ, World Bank) for new project opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance lead generation and business development.
3. International Project Development (IPD) Support:
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of project references, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Assist in creating project presentations, reports, and other business development materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project coordination and information flow.
4. Client & Partner Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential partners, clients, and funding agencies.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings, calls, and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep client and partner information within CRM system.
Your profile
1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management, Business Development, or a related field.
2. Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, tenders & proposals, project coordination, or consulting.
- Proven track record in environmental consulting, waste management, or sustainability sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the entire tender process, from initial inquiry to contract award
3. Languages:- Fluency in English is required
- Proficiency in additional languages such as in German or French or Arabic is a strong advantage.
4. Technical Skills:
- Strong writing and research skills for proposal development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM and project management software.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and international development funding mechanisms.
5. Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced international environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and market insight to anticipate industry trends and client needs.
